Stations on low power?

Are the stations that are on the senior road tower, missouri city 9 of them on low power? I've had poor reception on both of my radios on those stations out in Lavaca county. Its been like that for a week now seems like.

I'm not sure exactly when it was supposed to happen, but within the last couple of weeks Fox 26 had tower work to do which would send a bunch of stations to their aux sites.

yeah almost all HD signals are off and RDS is off on a few

also radio one stations RDS say test

i dont know whats going on

All were on their aux sites until late Sunday night. Due to tower / antenna inspections being done on the tower.

How long does it usually take for the radio stations to be off during this time?

The work at FOX 26 should have nothing to do with the FM signals. The FM's are on a different tower completely.

The Aux. sites can't broadcast in HD? How can I find out the power of the aux. sites? I was getting stereo reception from them, but it wasn't very clear. KKBQ was getting over run by KROM most of the time.

Okay, I'll amend my statement: the work at KRIV sent KUHF to its Aux.

If 99.9% of the population listens in analog and the digital radios will pick up analog, would you spend money on a digital backup and the means to get the metadata to the aux site that you use a couple of times a year?

Channel 13 has also been running a 'maintenence disclaimer' on air today. Just says the activities could affect reception.

Frequently if work is being done on an adjacent tower in an antenna farm, stations on other towers with high power have to reduce to the OSHA limits to protect the workers on the other tower.
