Stations that aren't voice tracked at night

Do we still have any here in DFW? It looks as if KSCS is voice tracking now after listening to them last night. Is the Wolf live at night? WRR sounds live, but it's hard to tell with that station.

WRR is live. True... the jocks get time and a half ;D

KTCU runs live at night.

ESPN is live on over nights...granted they run syndication, but they have live hits two to three times an hour.

When I was at the Bone, I was live at night. We were jockless overnight and no VT. Not sure about now but I am guessing they still do it the same. But I dunno for sure.

You go girl... rocking the pun. "WE" were "jockless". For your case, well, never mind. ;D

How's the search going anyway?

KTCU runs live at night.
I think that is a given since it is college radio.

Thats about the only time the students get to put on their programs, seeing they want to run old persons programming during the day ;)

Isn't KLTY's Andrea (formerly Andi Jaxson) live in the evenings and she actually has a producer in studio as well

Yes, she is live with a board op. BTW, for all the KLTY fans, why is that she is becoming mysteriously close to a Delilah starter kit?

> Gave her show a cheesy name
> Grew up with an on-air moniker
> Became esoteric with the one-name handle
> And has seriously tried to get some Lauren Bacall night time voice (or is it Ron Chavis, I can't figure)?

BTW, most urban stations run blue... and live at night.

For what KLUV jocks do live and locally, might as well voice track it. Nobody would know the difference.

Ouch!.....but very true.....

Having once did overnights at an oldies station many
moons ago, it's difficult to get excited about playing
that Beatles song for the 100,000th time, and especially
at 3 in the morning. Plus - folks working the third shift are
just as tired as you are, and couldn't give a crap whether
or not you're Mr. or Mrs. Smoking Hot "Playin' The Hits" Radio
DJ....If you're entirely too upbeat and "over the top", people are
gonna' think "They're way too darn happy for that time of the
morning", and will probably assume you're under the influence of
some narcotics, as well as a looney. Just give 'em the tunes and
shut the hell up! ;) ;D

When it comes to KLUV, they should voice track it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. CBS would save money on a group of minimally talented jocks and the ratings and billings wouldn't suffer and might improve.

Well, at least he's predictable.

Did you get beat up in school alot, or what?

John is too much of a gentleman to respond, but I'm not. You, sir, are pathetic - and couldn't carry John, Sandi or Bob's laundry.

Wish Sandi Hopkins could have met you. She had a word that fit perfectly.

Bravo, Jody! Nice job standing up to the blankety-blanks who hide behind their anonymous forum handles to say things they wouldn't dare say to someone's face.

Prepare to get censored by the editors though...

Here, here JD.

But consider. KLUV? #5 market legacy, and rebounded from many bad books last decade to whomp competition and somehow stay relevant to its loyal listeners. Even after the Cowboys hooked up their trailer to another horse. And uh... Hubcap. um... Steve Eberhart. let's see... Summers. and there's... oh shoot, what's that tool's name... "something" Chapman?!

RADIO TRUTH? Quite possibly an underpaid CONsultant or the ubiquitous overnight board op. (I love them all, seriously... but IJS ;D)

I ended my career at KMYZ and KTSO in Tulsa the first week in October. I am back in school working towards my BA in Business and I am working for a DVM. :) A hell of alot more rewarding and more job security! :)

It's too bad that great DJ's (yeah, you) who really enjoy playing music are not able to do so as a profession anymore. The DJ's suffer, the listeners suffer, and popular music suffers.

I am back in school working towards my BA in Business

Good for you! Study like ya party, and you'll do just fine.

A hell of alot more rewarding and more job security!

Here's wishing you all the best of luck in your new career! Remember - the best revenge is to live well.

May your mansions be many.
