These are stations that didn't change formats from one to another, but moved around its own format to have completely different or different enough sounds to be noticeable. Here are some:
1. Mix 93.3 (KMXV) Kansas City. This station has moved around the CHR grid, from being a very strong Adult CHR in the late '90s and '00s to being a mainstream CHR from the late '00s and early '10s to being close to being a Rhythmic CHR once Steel City took over, playing songs like "i" by Kendrick Lamar, "Hood Go Crazy" by Tech N9ne, and "Tuesday" by ilovemanoken in power rotation. It has since become mainstream again.
2. 99.7 The Point Kansas City. This station debuted when Entercom closed the door on both Gen X radio and a mainstream AC, so it sounded very much on the AC side while technically being a Hot AC, and morphed into a full fledged Hot AC compete with even songs like "Thrift Shop" in rotation.
3. Star 104.3 Joplin. This station started out very rhythmically for a Hot AC, playing songs like "What's Luv" by Fat Joe and "Don't Wake Me Up" by Chris Brown. Then, it shifted into a more AC style presentation before settling into a more standard Hot AC sound.
