Stations that simulcast their subchannels

Dothan, Ala.: WRGX-LD/channel 23 (NBC) is simulcast on channel 4.4, a subchannel of CBS affiliate WTVY.

FOX 10, KSAZ Phoenix, airs on it's sister station, KUTP My 45 Phoenix as
their .2 sub-channel but only in S.D.

Minneapolis did that after the conversion. They "crossed" a SD feed of their FOX and My on each others. So for the first few years it was
RF9
9-1 FOX HD
29-2 My SD

RF29
29-1 My HD
9-2 FOX SD

A couple years ago they mixed their PSIP for both stations and put a FOX dupe in HD. So now its
9-1 RF29 KMSP FOX HD (copy of 9-9)
9-2 RF29 WFTC My HD
9-3 RF29 Movies!
9-4 RF9 Bounce
9-9 RF9 KMSP FOX HD

This also allows KMSP to bring My Network to outstate MN (still part of the Minneapolis DMA). They have a satellite station (KFTC Bemidji) which has the same as RF29 does (FOX HD, My HD, Movies!) and they use that feed for their translators they have.

They even ID at the beginning of their newscast (on the bottom of screen) as "KMSP / WFTC Minneapolis/St Paul KFTC Bemidji"

Here in Denver, KUSA 9 simulcast 9.1 on 9.4 (In fact, oddly enough, when watching KUSA off the antenna, THE ONLY way I can watch is on 9.4 (Which is WEIRD !!)

Their weather channel (9.2) & Justice Network (9.3) aren't even detected. Ditto with 9.1 (The main channel)

Cheers & 73 :)

WLOS-TV in Asheville, NC used to do that with it's 13.3 subchannel, simulcasting their main channel 13.1, until replacing 13.3 with Antenna TV.

Then the website's info is outdated because I was seeing a simulcast of 9.1 on 9.4 when I scanned for channels last month

And 9.3 is Justice Network (They even advertise it as such)

Cheers & 73 :)

Umm OK. The website (by the way...Trip updates it almost daily lately) is right
KUSA is on BOTH 9-1 (coming off RF9) and 9-4 (coming off RF19). The UHF signal (9-4) is for folks who have UHF only antennas. Since Tegna owns both stations they can do that.

Its the same way in Minneapolis
KMSP FOX 9 is on RF9 (maps to 9-9) AND sister station RF29 (which maps to 9-1) is FOX HD. So when I scroll through my stations I get
9-1 RF29 FOX HD
9-2 RF29 MY HD
9-3 RF29 Movies!
9-4 RF9 Bounce
9-9 RF9 FOX HD

And I dont know why you had to tell me what is on 9-3. I was making the point 9-1, 9-2 and 9-3 are coming off RF9 whereas 9-4 is off RF19. But to make you feel warm and fuzzy rabbitears has that info too

So tonight is a new one. On WFTC My29 (9.2) here in Mpls the guide shows from 10-midnight "Childs Play" which is a game show on Buzzr. Thought the guide was wrong on the Tivo (stupid Rovi) but lo and behold I tune in and yes the guide is wrong.

But Card Sharks is playing and it has Bill Rafferty hosting (had to wiki it to see who that was...only remember the Bob Eubanks and Jim Perry hosts)
Next week in the guide it shows "Buzzr program" in the guide right now

By the way Buzzr is carried on co-owned KMSP FOX on 9.4 (9.1 is FOX, 9.2 is My, 9.3 is Movies!, 9.4 Buzzr and 9.9 FOX...yes FOX HD is on 2 spots. 9.1-9.3 are carried on RF29 and 9-4/9.9 on RF9)
