Status of WFME 1560?

"leave the day pattern on" is a bit of a misnomer because no one is really sure what KGOW is operating with.

It was a nightly regular when i lived in SE WY.. I've heard it here in AK several times.

Clear evidence something is up with the pattern, some people local to houston have surmised based on local signals, its operating from the night site full time, but that the pattern is screwy
I’m in Houston and just checked 1560…direction finding reveals KGOW is still using their night site during the day.

EMF will buy it out for expanded Air 1 coverage *LONG* before Family Radio gets to touch that frequency. They just had a massive fundraiser. If you were EMF, would you stick with your 96.7 with grade B/fringe coverage in NJ, or take over 98.7 where NJ is in the grade A to B contour?
They could spin off 96.7 to WAWZ or Family Life Network to expand to other parts of the Tri-State.
I recall reading on this board that EMF's appetite for making major station purchases may be waning. And Air 1 is a secondary service, compared to K-Love. With the removal of WQEW's signal, Family Radio may be in greater need of a station that can cover the metro area.

No love lost from me about Family Radio. Were GIVEN a station I worked at, fired everyone, ran it into the ground, and now it's just run off a laptop hooked up to a satellite at the transmitter site.

Waning? They bought out KTHT Houston last year! It feels like EMF's goal is to expand its ministry to every market in the United States. They make offers the previous owners won't refuse.
EMF gave Audacy a $15.5 million offer to give up WTSS Buffalo and WLFP Memphis. And they did. (In reality, they were in a divestiture trust)

Family owns that site. They leased the tower back to Cumulus. I think Cumulus still uses it as a backup.
Cumulus isn't there anymore. They moved 94.7 to the WOR AM site a couple of years ago.

There are a few LPTVs and that's it. It's prime for redevelopment.

There is a separate aux site next door used by Audacy, but it's not affected by Family's sale.

🔥 might work. I'll probably need it for Denver in a few weeks (hint: no more commercials for World of Weed or South Quebec Liquors soon).

It's more likely (IMHO) that 98.7 is a country station by this time next year than Family Radio.
And that is about as likely has having another February 29th next year.

Yes I know, but I was led to believe that they use West Orange as a backup. Maybe not.
They do, but they are not on the old WFME tower anymore. They moved across the street to the other tower that has 98.7, 97.1, 101.9 and 96.3 aux facilities as well.
