Ditto to the previous two posts. Evidence that BizRadio 1320 is on its last legs: What ill-informed program director in their right mind would program a sports topic show on a Business Radio format at 7:30AM, smack dab in the middle of Morning Drive? I loved listening to business news when I drive into work, but now I go back to my old standy 610 or 790 for sports. I'm not going to listen to some Dallas host discuss sports issues with Dallas personalities. Forget Dallas, if I want sports or "the business of sports" as they call it, I'm going to a SPORTS STATION, not a business station. As for Dallas, nobody in Houston gives a rat's ass about Dallas sports personalities, which is what the show focuses on. A BUSINESS STATION in any daypart, but especially AM Drive, discusses the markets, real estate, interest rates, the Fed, THE ENRON TRIAL for God's sake, not Dallas sports personalities! That's where BizRadio lost me as a Morning Drive listener. I get in my car at 7:30 and Brent Clanton has just signed off. Brent's reputation doesn't lend itself to that kind of dumb programming decision. It just goes to show you what happens to a well thought out idea for a quality business station when someone with no broadcast experience takes over. Dan Frishberg is running his own idea into the ground at the speed of sound at this point. Dayna Steele was a real positive for that station as well, and it looks like Frishberg ran her off too. Like Listenupnow and Mike O said, 1320 could have been a great station, but stupid, uninformed and ignorant (Frishberg) egos step in and kill these great ideas all the time. Ditto Mike O: Good Luck Brent! I hope you move on to a station that will nurture your talents.
