.....because do "i" have plenty of fuel for you.
First, we've alrerady seen the departure of the old PAX E/I content, "America's Most Talented Kids" and Animal Tails" last week. And now "Doc" will have it's last airing on Sept. 21, and "Sue Thomas F.B. Eye" will air for the final time three days later on Sept. 24. "Bonanza" and "Diagnosis: Murder" will hang around for the month of October, and will be dropped after that. Now for the new additions which will all be tweaked between the hours of 6 and 11 pm.
"i" will commerate the 30th anniversary of "Charlie's Angels" with a 6-episode weekend marathon Sept. 22nd and 23rd. Sadly, this will not include the pilot movie. "Charlie's Angeles" will replace "Doc" on Sept. 25th at 9pm Mon-Fri. "Kung Fu" is on deck for the next Saturday marathon on Sept. 30th. Again, no pilot move, just three random episodes. "Kung Fu" will settle into it's regular slot Sundays at 6pm on Oct. 1st, replacing "Sue Thomas"
The next weekend, Oct. 6 and 7, will be "Monkee Mania" weekend, celebrating the 40th anniversary of that show. It kicks off with the movie "Head" Oct. 6 from 6-8pm, and six back-to-back episodes both Friday and Saturday from 8-11pm. It's too bad they didn't include the "33 1/3 Revolutions Per Monkee" in that weekend as well.
Next, the week of Oct. 9 will see "Green Acres" shorten to a Mon-Thurs. run. "Welcome Back Kotter" will make it's "i" debut Friday, Oct. 13 with 2 episodes from 7-8pm. A six-episode "Kotter" marathon will air the next night, Oct. 14
"The Partridge Family" will have its turn in the Saturday Night spotlight on Oct. 21, and the following Saturday, Oct. 28 will see a six-show marathon of the 80's sitcom "Amen" starring Sherman Hemsley and Clifton Davis.
"Bonanza" will have its final "i" airing on Thursday, Oct 26. On Oct. 30, "Green Acres" will move into the 6-7pm slot, and "Amen" will air Mon-Fri with back-to-back shows from 7-8pm.
"Growing Pains" which was supposed to begin airing on "i" later this month, has been put on the back burner for now.
So.........yeah, there it is.
