Stephanie Miller receives hate-filled death threat letter

"You want all the troops to return home immediately, and you've already admitted you want them to lose. Nuff said."

Two boldface lies in one sentence, evn--I never made either statement and any doubters are welcome to look up the page and see for themselves. I've always favored an orderly, phased withdrawal although I would do it much more quickly than would the lame libertarian plan, which is simply an echo of what has been said by certain wishy-washy political moderates. And what I did say in response to a loaded question from you, is that, no, I don't want them to win, because winning would require many of them suffering the ultimate loss, which is of course death. But I certainly dont want them to lose, because that would also require more needless fighting and dying in what from the beginning of the insurgency has been a civil war.

What you have yet to understand evn, is that intelligent discussion doesn't flow from inane Hannity-esque questions like yours: "Do you want the Americans to win". If you say yes, you are an unqualified warhawk, and if you say no, you are branded by the tin-foil hatters as unpatriotic. And the evns of the world aren't interested in any explanatory comments.

Couple of other suggestions evn-lose the "nuff said" comment. It's repetitive, lame and damn stupid, because there is always more to say after you make a comment here--for one thing we have to correct your lies and inaccuracies.

And make no mistake, if you favor another year in Iraq, you are advocating death to American troops. And if you don't serve yourself, yes you still are a chickenhawk.

Have a nice day.

If you look at what I wrote, I queried why certain talk show hosts had difficulty answering what seemed to be a simple question. The question is only 'loaded' if you have difficulty stating a defined position.

While I enjoy Miller, she did alot of hemming and hawwing trying to answer that question, as well as Blitzer and Letterman. That, to me, is pretty telling, considering these people make thier living out of 'discussion'.

Since you didn't get it the first time evn, read my lips a second time. Here is why the question is loaded and ridiculous:

And not only is the question loaded, it is not even remotely reality-based, because it is conceptually and militarily impossible to stage an "American" victory in an Iraqi civil war, in which our troops are simply caught in a continuing crossfire. All in all, evn, a question that is a total waste of time.

for the 3rd time, TJ, I asked why they had trouble answering a question, especially considering thier line of work and relevance to this particular board ( News TALK )

You answer they had trouble because the question is 'loaded and ridiculous'.That's your opinion, and you are welcome to it.

I will note here that Stephanie Miller, Wolf Blitzer, or David Letterman did not make the distinction that the question was, in fact, 'ridiculous', but instead attempted ( badly, IMHO ) to answer said question.

Nuff said. ;)

The most nasty, hateful letters almost always go to liberal hosts written by a liberal who is pretending that he or she is a conservative. Expect nothing less from the ultimate hate in America.

Except that it does not appear to be the case with this letter.

Several folks have found very easily searched letters to the editor written by this guy to his local newspapers in Dayton. If he's a liberal, he's masquerading pretty well, and certainly not just to send such a letter to a radio talk show host.

As someone who's been somehow attached to news/talk radio for ages, most of it working around conservative hosts...EVERYONE gets death threats, on all sides. There are some mighty unbalanced people who spend too much time thinking the people on the radio are their friends - or sworn enemies. It has nothing to do with ideology, and everything to do with people not in control of their faculties.
