Stephen A Smith Show

I try to listen to Stephen A. its hard. Deb Carson helps. When he starts slobbering over women on the air its a real turn-off. Stephen A. reminds me of the guy that hits on every woman in the club.
 
Because it was a holiday yesterday, Stephen A wasn't on(thankfully); I actually tuned in for a while during the time that his show was on and John Fricke guest hosted. John did a good job and usually does a good jpb when he guest hosts for people on FSR, frankly I would have liked for him to have gotten that time slot instead of Stephen A, but I guess not.
 
Stephen A. has some good takes, especially on his given sport of basketball. However, his delivery sucks. He sounds like he is swallowing the microphone
when he speaks. It makes his show a difficult listen. Reminds me of listening to JJ Walker on Good Times. Thankfully, JJ never did a radio show.
 
Does anyone know what happened to Celessa (sp?)?? She just sort of disappeared. I do like Deb Carson and she seems that she can hold her own with Mr Macho A Smith.

Why doesn't Fox give John Fricke his own regular time slot during the week? Is he too intelligent?
 
Why doesn't Stephen A. just do radio shows about what a Stud he is. Tell us how many thousands of women he has conquered and how physically gifted he is. Why hold back. That is where he seems to want the show to go. Let it all hang out Stephen. ;)

how does JJ sound compared to Stephen A. Smith?

Actually, if I could be honest here... that page I linked in the previous post has never been updated! Apparently, ol' J.J. had exited KKAR some time ago, and they now have Sean Hannity running in his old timeslot. In fact, the station is pretty much another garden-variety right-wing off-the-bird round-the-clock AM station these days...

I can say SAS probably isn't the worse thing on FSR, (JT and Looney) it should tell you about the rest of the network there. I was and still offended by the slap in the face of him replacing the best thing they had. (Czaban)
 
I respect Stephen A as an NBA journalist, but almost puked when he gave Jesse Jackson a platform to share his racist hatred re: pinning the "slave master" mentality on Dan Gilbert. Deb Carson finally stepped in with some common sense and respectfully pointed out that we are all "slaves" to our jobs (at least according to Jesse's description) AND that JJ would never have said a peep about any "slave master" mentality if it had been Mark Cuban issuing that same pitiful letter regarding Dirk Nowitzki. Jackson also kept pimping some book "Forty Million Dollar Slaves". Does he own a piece of it or something?

- I agree that Fricke should have a show, especially during football season.
- Celessa is a talent booker for Brian McKnight's radio show. They tried to give her a break to be on-air, but she didn't know sports, was boring, and seemed to constantly back down from Stephen A when I was listening. I'm presuming she's still with Brian's show, but she's been gone for months now from SAS; so if you're just noticing she's gone, that tells how little she was even contributing. Not a knock on her, she simply got a break that wasn't a fit for her AT ALL, and that she was ill-prepared for. And with Stephen A, I don't think you can pair him with a meek personality. ESPECIALLY a meek woman. I think Carson definitely seems like a better fit in this case.
 
I agree with you on Jesse Jackson being allowed to come on with that junk.

John Fricke better be on during football season in some capacity.

Interesting development... next week, FSR will start offering "Zack and Jeff" from WNDE/Indy in morning drive as a programming option. WARF/Akron will be one of the first clearances for Z&J. SAS will still be offered on the main channel (and I presume on KLAC as well).

Now, if only this could be done for PMS... :)

Regardless of how good Zack and Jeff may be, it won't help WARF.
