It's no secret Stephen A. wants to broaden beyond sports punditry. He's debuting both a sports and a political talk show on SiriusXM and has been a NewsNation contributor of late.

If you want to see a Stephen A. Smith that's unchained from just sports, find and stream the Real Time with Bill Maher episode from August 8th. If you subscribe to HBO Max, it should be available for you to stream, otherwise search for the clips on Youtube.
 
There were some rumors in the NY Post and elsewhere that Stephen A. is considering running for POTUS in 2028.

However, I'm not sure being a NewsNation contributor is a step along that path.
 
SAS also goes on FOX News from time to time Hannity. SAS is a liberal voted for Kamala in 2024 and he has said he likes PA governor Josh Shapiro & Maryland governor Wes Moore those are his favorites for 2028.
