Stephen Colbert to host Primetime Emmys on CBS

Yeah. He was on "Moonlighting" and great at comedy before he became an action movie hero.

Willis can be a very funny talk show guest. In fact, to bring it full circle - he recently appeared on The Late Show with Steven Colbert. The two of them had a fake fist fight all over the set which was so well choreographed that you would have thought it was in an action movie, and took 2 days to film. A tribute to the athleticism of both men, probably.

I don't remember if the Emmys are delayed on the west coast or not, but if it is and it's a single game week, they could run a West Coast only game in the afternoon, 49ers vs Rams or Raiders Vs. Chargers and so forth and if all live for everybody they could just run one afternoon game so the time ending would be the same, much like FOX does with the World Series airing after.

CBS has Miami at Los Angeles and New York at Oakland at 4:05 before the Emmys. Maybe they'd delay the Emmys until both games are over, but it's a single header weekend for them. Bu let's say that the Jets/Raiders game is a blowout, and CBS switches to the Dolphins/Chargers game. Would CBS dare delay the Emmys so that the Dolphins/Chargers game can finish? New York would get 60 Minutes, but the rest of the late game markets would be getting the Dolphins/Chargers game.
