Stephen Kilbreath of KUBE93

I've listened to the T-Man show since the beginning and I could not believe that Stephen was let go.

He's been part of the show since the beginning, and helped to bring the show to where it is now. Since he's left, I really haven't listed to T, or even KUBE for that matter.

The show just isn't the same with out him there, it was a balance of personalities that made the show fun to listen too. Now it's just T and Terri and some fart noises from Scott.

same here -- I've listened on and off the past few years, but I used to wake up to Steven and T back when Bill Rice was on KUBE back in the mid-late nineties

I'd be surprised as well to see him come back, but without him the show is not the same. Worse, knowing how Rob takes care of his friends, I wouldn't be surprised if he chose to not continue his contact because of this.

Ackerley knew what this station needed -- CC does not. It'll be their own undoing

They not only laid him off but also his wife who was working in the KJR-FM sales department. Merry Christmas, Kilbreath family from your friends in San Antonio!

I have never have listened to T-Man's show so I have no idea who Stephen is. Regardless, no one should have to go through this. Makes me wonder if working in the business is even worth it anymore.

Best of luck Stephen to you and your family.

I've listened to KUBE for years and can't believe they let him go! AND his wife? I hope T-man does do something about it come contract time.

In a perfect world(or any business), the listeners(customers) appealing to the upper brass would have some sort of influence. In radio, sad to say, doesn't matter. As mass cume radio sits with it's finger in it's keister wondering why no one cares anymore and why should they?,they dispose anyone local or likeable.Audio billboards, man, audio billboards, crap between ad space.

I cannot believe they let Amy go too!
I sure hope T has something planned to get him back, didn't he say his contract was up next year?

I haven't listened to T-man in ages - but I remember his show when it was brand new, before Teri.

Stephen was just a Metro Traffic reporter who drew the short straw (or whatever) and got the KUBE slots. As Rob developed his show, Kilbreath's traffic reports became less about traffic and more about banter between them. I guess at some point, Kilbreath got a contract from Ackerley/CC and was brought in house.

I seem to remember the unflappable Sara Johnson filling in a few times. She'd give her traffic report as the T-Man would repeatedly shout "where's Kilbreath where's Kilbreath" through the whole darned thing.

Perfect example of what is wrong with Media Consolidation - That would NEVER, EVER happen at a mom and pop station. What an outrage to know that there are local and national Clear Channel managers with such low ethical standards.

Its really a shame.

Whats worse...

Taking an entire show off of the air

or

taking a single personality of a successful ensemble show off of the air?

I know its been a while since he was released, but the Tman show just isnt the same with Kilbreath. There are still times I expect to hear his voice at certain points of the show.

Anyone have any news about his future?

He and his lovely wife are reunited together at Metro where they belong. And they lived happily ever after... and no one really misses them.

I agree the show has not been the same since he was let go, I've been trying to listen to it but I'm just not into the show anymore.
All the little things that Stephen did was what always made me laugh, and now that's gone.

I hope when T's contract is up, he can work it out so Stephen can come back. Guess we'll wait and see.

To Mr. radiobootie...

I think the above link will prove you wrong. I know its only a couple hundred people, but people do really miss the guy. You know you do to. youre just in denial.

It's only natural for radio hotshots to shove a nice guy even further into the ground when he down. That only shows you the depth of THEIR insecurity.

Any of you missing Stephen so much ever work with the guy? I can tell you haven't or you wouldn't be making any fuss over his departure. Find another cause.

Stephen is now doing weekends at KMPS.

Oh, thank the heavens above for that. I know that the entire world will sleep better tonight knowing that the much-heralded, world-class talent and overall purveyor of peace on what is known as this thing we call earth is FINALLY back on the air. ::)

I've been actually wondering what he's doing now.
Glad to see he's not unemployed anymore.

Hope to still hear him someday back on T.
