Stepping beyond "Radio"

CHRles started a post below which was locked by the administrator. The post is, by anyones standards, immaterial to this forum. Then again, this is "radio-info" and I regularily see discussions of music, record labels, etc in here.

As the most disliked and contraversial individual in this forum, I'd like to stand up for CHRles. Not because I believe in him....because I don't. Not because I like him...because I don't. But because events like this hurricane are such massive news events they can't help but get into discussions on everything. I'll give him credit...that he's passionate about it. He cares about it...all the while ignoring that millions have died elsewhere but we still discuss Sirius radio.

America needs to discuss this tragedy. Not to dwell on the destruction and horror, but to discuss why anarchy is happening. Perhaps it will open the eyes of a few members of this forum beyond their flag waving Yankeeisms.

Discussion is good. Differing opinions are a way of educating yourself, assuming your willing to open your closed minds and explore other ideas. And while I suspect this will fall into a massive flamewar, so be it. If a single person learns something.....all the better.

Music and record labels are directly related to radio, and the disaster in the south is directly related to dance radio, particularly since several of our colleagues are directly affected by this storm.

You are incorrect in your assumptions why the below threads were closed. One was closed because a user issued a restriction to other users of the board in reference to content. Two were closed because of inappropriate content (not as stated in your post).

Please discontinue at your attempts to destroy this forum. Since you have joined it, there has been a notable downturn in the quality of posts, and the credibility of this board is in serious jeopardy. The dance board used to be one of the most (if not THE most) productive board on radio-info.

Your posts are (currently) welcome, but please join our productivity and stray away from the negative, regressive comments.
