Up until now, I've been testing the FM setup using my high end Sony tuner & hadn't noticed any problems. However, other receivers ARE having problems decoding the stereo - some switiching slowly between mono/stereo (over a minute or more) & others not getting stereo at all.
Pioneer Car radio w/ super Tuner III - intermittent stereo.
Sanyo boombox - no stereo
Pioneer F-204 AM/FM tuner - intermittent stereo.
Sony ST-SA5ES tuner & Marantz A/V surround Receiver - No problems.
Could this be due to phasing problems from the RDS encoder? - I attempted to turn down the injection level via its potentiometer but it didn't appear to drop much. Unfortuneatly, I don't have access to professional measuring equipment to confirm.
Other than that, things are running nicely!
AEV-4500 RDS encoder connected via MPX input (BNC)
Australian Made 10W stereo TXer - internal Digital stereo encoder.
