stereo for red sox baseball

Any chance that Entercomm might to Sox home games in stereo to be heard on WEEI-FM and other FM stations along the WEEI Red Sox radio network. Know the flagship is mono (850AM). NESN does home SOx TV games in 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround sound.

I don't know if WBOQ is fed stereo from the WEEI Radio Network, but I'm pretty sure NESN is not in 5.1 for a ball game, or anything else

There are also some A.M. stereo stations in their network (such as WINY). There's no reason why they couldn't. WJR/760 used to broadcast Tigers games in stereo.

Is this list accurate and up-to-date in that there are only 3 FM stations in MA that air the Sox games? (I thought there were many more...)

Nope, there is 4. They forgot WEII 96.3.

I don't believe WEII carries the sox. The list states WXTK does, which I believe is correct.

The Sox moved from WXTK to WEII this year.

MRI, NESN is 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround on the NESN -HD feed. Not sure if SD feeds are 5.1 or stereo only. depends on cableco.
98.5 has the Patriots , as well as BCN before in stereo and think Bruins home games were in stereo on the Sports Hub.
Fox in pre HD days in late 90s had MLB in Dolby Stereo. Did a great audio job in Game 3 of 1999 ALCS with crowd chant of "Roger, Roger....."

Radio World web site has a story about the Atlanta Braves Radio network doing Braves games in DTS Neural Surround Sound (matrix 5.1 format) for their FM sterao stations on the Braves Radio Network. Hope Entercomm will gives us Stereo for Sox games next season on FM Sox network stations.
