stereo multiplexing pass-through on a digital converter box

i have noticed , unfortunately , that my stereo analog t v ' s do not get a stereo audio signal inputted from my digital converter box's output .... now my patched through sound system from my t v ' s output is now monaural .... why ? will this change after february 17th ? i doubt it ... my converter box is a "digital stream "

I have a Digital Stream and it passes stereo audio just fine. You may have a bad box.

hmmm...i tried two boxes...i qualified for two coupons at each address ... i live in both jersey and pennsy , so i got two coupons for each address .. maybe both at the pennsy home are bad ? i could bring both from jersey home to pennsy home and try them both ... maybe both of my boxes are defective ? i kind of doubt it .. but thank you

Try turning up the volume of the DTV converter box up all the way. Some converters and cable boxes control the entire composite waveform with the volume and if the pilot is below a certain level, the TV won't locl into stereo.
