Stern Settlement

Wow ! Almost 5 full days since the news on Sterns settlement and not one mention on the board. Not to shabby, 2 million for the Stern archives plus an undisclosed amount for doing absolutley NOTHING wrong.I'll bet there's a clause in the agreement that both sides must remain silent about the details [which probably is killing stern)Still, i'm sure there was a huge monetary judgement for CBS to agree to terms so quickly. The only charges in the suit that had any validity were "contractual enrichments" Stern received while still under the Infinity contract. OOOOH the cost of doing business.I can't wait to hear some of the bits WITHOUT censoring

Funny how CBS was bashed left and right when they announced the stern suit and now not one person has anything to say when Howard bows to CBS bully Joel Hollander and settles. ???

I think the original suit is rendered moot by a countersuit possibility. It is more cost effective for bothentities to settle rather than drag through the courts with either action. I think the only thing paid is the $2 million for the Infinity material. I'm sure if you had a business deal of this scope, you would want it to remain confidential as well.

Nice attempt troll. Fact is theres not much to talk about. Suit went as most expected. CBS had nothing and clearly got nothing except won Stern's silence by selling him his archives.

If Stern didn't look like an ass and won anything at all in this suit, you know he'd be running his bitch fest live, 24/7 on his repeat carriers and in the press complete with photos and t-shirts. If you took the time to read all of the releases, my little tranny, you would clearly see that the 2 mill was for the tapes...PLUS an undisclosed settlement amount for the contract violations. Typical of stern sheep; Howard is always on top and when he is made an A** of...nothing. 2 million bucks to lease bits you produced, not too shabby. ;D

Nothing sadder then a pathetic, lonely fan of an radio show bitter that the rest of America is is thoroughly uninterested in same, attacking the host and fans of the host of the more popular show. Do you geldings get paid for your little witticisms? Or is it just a self-esteem issue? But prove me wrong sweet pea. Show me one article from any reputable source that indicated CBS received anything other then the payment for the tapes the thing Stern wanted from day one.Oh btw a gag order is typical in all settlements.

Check the Washington Post of May 27. The terms for the conveyance of the tapes were released. The remaining terms of the settlement were not.
