Stern Show Pranks WLNG

Listening to Stern today and it seems that they did some funny announcements on Swap and Shop, it sounded just like WLNG, the echo and the way the host spoke "Shwap and Shop". My guess is Stern who lives in the area, heard that show and set his guys loose on them. The LNG host got mad on the air and said that they were going to the DA!
I have to admit, I'm surprised that this hasn't happened year ago, swap and shop has been on the air for as long as I can remember.

While it could have been WLNG's Swap And Shop, it could also have been any other number of stations around the country that do that type of programming, such as "Tradio", etc.

Fooling around with the hosts of these shows has become a trademark bit of the Stern Show's Sal (Governale) and Richard (Christy) for several years, especially since the satellite years began in 2006.

One thing that they have to be careful with is getting permission to air the prank calls in order to avoid legal trouble. There are certain states to where calls can be placed where permission is not necessary for the call to be aired.

I heard it. It was WLNG. I've been waiting for them to get to that station ever since they started doing that bit.

I have to admit, when Gary Sapien (i think that's who it was) said he was going to the DA, I laughed at the thought.....Stern was making fun of it too. They should be used to that by now, this couldn't be the first time that's happened! ::)

So did these calls actually air on WLNG? And what were Sal/Richard trying to sell? Some "rusty pots," perhaps? ::)
