Stern Suspended?

Suspended for one day for talking about Siri too much. In addition to pissing him off more they only draw more attention to him. Infinity has played this wrong from the get go, they need to sit back take the money and relax. It's not like there is anyone listening to that show that does not know he's going to siri.

Stern playing games

> Link to story
>Sterny Hoo Hoo is taking a day off on his own accord, Infinity did not suspend Sterny. Stern is going with his so called girlfriend to a scheduled even she is hosting. This is all a publicity stunt and has no foundation. No Infinity statement is the first clue. This was revealed on Howard 100 - News, which in itself should have been a red flag of shenanigans.

Sterny has said he has a clause if he gets suspended or taken off the air he can leave, so naturally he could fire up the little doggie company satellite and start broadcasting right?

Stern is just not relevant anymore, this afterall is not 1995, but 2005 and Hoo Hoo is starting to sweat cause he has to actually do something in 2 months.

Re: Howard Stern

Does anyone think that Stern may do something (read: possibly continuing to constantly plug Sirius) when he returns on Wednesday morning (November 9th)??

And could that lead to Stern leaving/being fired from Infinity right away (instead of just prior to Christmas) and possibly starting with Sirius before January??

Your disdain is pretty obvious unfortunately it's coloring your idea of the truth , but it seems that Opie and Anthony have dictated your opinion to you, like most of their fans tend to be prettty easily swayed by their opinions.

Your theory doesnt make any sense.

Re: Howard Stern

He's only got 23 Shows left to go. If Infinity let's Howard go early, I fully expect him to take a long vacation in preparation of his Sirius start Date in January. I highly doubt that he will start early. If he does return Wednesday which I expect.... I think he will limit the Sirius talk a bit more and do his best to give his fans some good shows on Infinity. He's been talking about doing just that. Unfortunately once he gets pissed off he tends to not be able to control his anger. That's when he gets on a roll and continues to lash out at Infinity and the whole censorship issue. I expect these last 23 shows to be interesting as Howard goes out with a Bang! Then.... I expect the Sirius shows to be totally groundbreaking Radio where Stern will just go Wild like we've never heard before. I'm looking forward to it!

Howard Should Not Go Back To Infinity. Screw 'Em.

They Will Make Money Running "Best Of" Anyway.

Just Start His Vacation Now.

Then Start The Sirius Show On January 6th As Planned
Edited by MCNDRWS on 11/08/05 03:53 PM.

This is true.
However, you can't expect a compnay to just allow their own employee to bash them constantly using their own air-time. Every minute that transmitter runs costs money. Literally, he's giving their air time away. Last time I checked, you had to pay CBS to be a sponser.

radio' with the replaying of a lot of his tired bits from years gone by.
Howard's best when he interacts with listeners and talks to his cast of
characters...Gary, Beetlejuice, Angry Black, Big Black and on and on.

Stern could do that. But on Infinity's card if they fire him, they have to pay him severance. Not that Stern needs the money but there must be something in the contract stipulating the amount of severance he would receive. And since Infinity is already losing a lot of money after the fact, it might just make sense to "keep him" for the final shows...get whatever they can for the last bucks. I'm sure sponsors for the final Stern are paying the radio equivalent of "Super Bowl" prices. That's something Infinity can't just walk away from.

That's why I think with the suspension and further restrictions, Infinity is trying to "make" Stern quit...that way they could get on Stern's case for "breach of contract" and then tell the advertisers...hey, Stern quit, don't blame us!
