Hard to tell considering how long their vacations are. Rumor has it Infiniti will play best of until the end of the book, then replace him wth DLR or COW.
Howard confirmed that their vacations on eh-eh-eh will be even longer! How does that sit with you guys. Considering he is the only reason to get eh-eh-eh, these long breaks are kind of a bummer, will they credit your account when he is off the air.
Another rumor going around is that he will have a 4 day work week like Johnny Carson had. That one I find hard to believe, that would be a real rip-off.
I was excited about getting eh-eh-eh to listen to Howard, but when I heard MEL was involved I got turned off. After all, MEL invented the 20 minute commercial break and the only reason eh-eh-eh hired him was to bring in alternative forms of revenue.
I think I'll keep my 13 bucks. Sorry for the long post but these are the END OF (RADIO) DAYS.

I have it and love it, with or without Howard. I know alot of people bought the radio's for that reason, but it shouldn't be the only one. I love the mix of music, the programs are great and I don't have a pushy spokesman yelling at me to buy a car every 10 minutes
. I always find something on worth listening to and when driving long distance I don't have to switch. So yes, I like it! Now, not to be morbid, but what happens if Howard doesn't make it to his next stop? Will people cancel their subscriptions?

What do you mean dude? What do you mean doesn't make it? There was a rumor going around that Viacom would buy Sirius and continue to offer Howard to it's current affiliates with the profanity taken out. In that case I would cancel the subscription.
Is that what you mean? Are there any health concerns with the K.O.A.M.? Since Sirius seems to be spending more money than they are bringing in, will they be able to pay him?

The 4-day work week is not a rumor. It was a condition of Howard's contract with Sirius. Immediately after joining Sirius, Mel mentioned in the WSJ that "we're confident Howard's advertisers will come with him". That sounds pretty clear-cut that the Stern show will not be commercial-free. Without selling ad time, they can't possibly afford Stern.
Howard's smart enough to know that, aside from not having to worry about explicit content, a profanity-laden show is just not entertaining. He knows that part of the appeal and titillation of his show has always been that he CAN'T say whatever he wants. O&A don't even have half the talent or intelligence/wit of Stern, and even they know that a F*** and SH** show won't entertain anyone. What boundaries are left for Stern to break when they're all removed? And will his audience shell out the money to hear him do essentially the same show, just to hear coarser (yet not graphically explicit) language.

Nobody's metioned the NFL package..just another of many reasons to sign up..
What I want are both XM and Sirus..so I can get MLB and O&A from XM..Howard and everything else on Sirus..
Anybody know how far along they are with studio completion for Howard? Could he pack up and go and be on Sirus in a matter of days if Infinity decides to throw in the towel?
What kind of promotion is Sirus readying for Howard? Will have to suddenly push it up from 4th Quarter to Third Quarter with little notice?

I would be nervous owning stock in a company that doesn't turn a profit. Wait till the end of '06 when all the Howard fans don't renew their subscriptions because they feel ripped off. Or worse, they like sat.radio but switch to XM because of Howard's countless vacations.
