Steve Bartelstein Chicago-Bound

DCRTV.com reports via NewsBlues that the news anchor, formerly of WABC/7 and most recently WCBS/2, will be hired by WCBS sister WBBM in Chicago to be their morning news anchor:

"... the hire was engineered by his former boss at WCBS, News Director David Friend, who this week was appointed senior vice president of news for CBS Television Stations..."

You may recall Bartelstein quit WCBS about a year and a half ago, citing underappreciation. With this development, I feel he should rescind that statement. Sure, he may be somewhat of a loose cannon, and we all remember the straw that broke the camel's back at WABC, but I'm sure he is grateful for this new opportunity. Also, I hope he is doing well in his battle with cancer, with which he was diagnosed a few years ago.
