Steve Bartelstein hired by WCBS, starts November 10th

I hear he's already been practicing for the new position in his sleep.

Make sure he takes his amphetamines with coffee! ;D

That was uncalled for. The man was recently diagnosed with testicular cancer and is currently undergoing treatment, which will explain why he will be bald when he returns.

First time I've heard about him being diagnosed with cancer, sorry for my little jab at his WABC days.

I second that. I had no idea either. Thoughts and prayers to Mr. Bartelstein.

Just looking at this article and thinking about Bartelstein in recent years - SO inspirational to watch him, with EVERYTHING he's gone through - i had the pleasure of meeting him and hearing him speak a couple of months ago out here in Brooklyn - he is AWE-SOME to watch, has a GREAT story, and deserves EVERY positive acknowledgement he gets; i'm SO GLAD he's looking well... :'(

One story mentioned that he was upset because they mailed his paycheck to his house. He has always picked it up in person.

So I guess that maybe they deducted the postage from his check and that sent him over the edge of not being appreciated. At least he was getting a paycheck. Especially in this day and age of widespread layoffs and such.
