Steve Baxter - Sugar on the Bone

Man, I like this CD! Great vibe. Steve finds a way to get funky but stay radio-friendly, which is NOT an easy thing to do. PERFECT for me, because I can cater to listeners craving more funk, while at the same time, not put off my listeners who prefer less of it. Not to draw my man "spiritof67" out of the woodwork ;D, but it is the same strategy I try to employ with Pat Metheny's work---spin the radio-friendly cuts [of the ilk of "Still Life (Talking)" and "Letter From Home"], and stay away from stuff like "American Garage."

Hope everyone had a GREAT holiday!!!

That Jazz Crusaders sound and our friend Rodney Lee plays on this disc as well. Check his bio sometime.
