STEVE CONTI Acquires 102.7 WAKX

Begining Aug 1, 2006 Steve Conti takes control of WAKX 102.7.The studios will remain at the North Main st location with WALE 990 am.
The format will be Swing and Jazz and a revamped image.

The station I believe he said will be called "The Jazz Station". operating 24/7.
Chris Dipaola will do sales from my understanding in the South County area.
Congatulations! to Steve in acquiring this station.Something that a couple of months ago looked glim.Steve will remain at Clear Channel full-time running WAKX on the side.
 
Thanks for the heads up Kenny. I already like The Bridge as an alternative to what else is on, & with Boston's WKLB about to move to a frequency that can be heard in RI, August looks like a good month to do the pre-set shuffle.

I miss understood Steve.Steve will be in charge of the music and engineering of the station. Not acquiring it.
