steve czaban snr

thanks.

i caught a little today. agreed, same czabe different network.

however, snr is a little sad nowadays...hearing czabe was a little like seeing a successful old friend working at a coffee shop to make ends meet.

It's only a matter of time before Czabe brings in the affiliates that dump SAS. Along with the SNR site, his show can be heard on iheartradio via the Richmond 910 stream.

I really like czabe. I wish someone would get smart and get this guy on a major network and at a decent time.

What's wrong with mornings on SNR? He's obviously not going to be on Fox again anytime soon and so there's only ESPN and they are not about to replace Mike and Mike. Plus remember Czabe takes a lot of shots at ESPN..that's part of his appeal. I think he's in a good place right now.

So now that Czabe is back on XM I listened to the show for the first time since the signoff in 2009. First of all, it feels like nothing has changed. Still just as good as I remembered, except for the hard SNR breaks. Anyone know where the SNR clock is? The show is certainly shorter than it was on Fox Sports Radio, which has few commercials.

Second, is Sporting News Radio now trying to ape the presentation of the pre-Don Martin Fox Sports Radio? I haven't heard it in a while, but they've got the previous FSR announcer (name escapes me), and the packaging and delivery is very similar. Right down to the intro: "Now, from the (sponsor) studios of F-S-R/S-N-R, in our nation's capital, here he is: THE CZABE!" It sounds really strange. Of course they've still got the SNR theme and jingle, which I don't expect them to ditch after all this time.

I finally decided to podcast this show, and I've found my sleep aid for those occasional restless nights. You Czabe lovers have some low expectations for radio talent, he's no better than the hundreds of suburban-schlepping hosts heard locally.

The Steve Czaban show isn't fascinating, it's filler.

Well I guess the Steve Czaban Show has something for everyone then.
Some will enjoy the show and find it helpful that way, others might need their rest and find it helpful that way.
To each his own.
