Steve Dahl to make announcement today

On his daily podcast Steve Dahl is expected to make an announcement on his future plans today. Apparently is contract with CBS has ended.
 
Radio personality Steve Dahl to charge for podcasts

Veteran on-air radio personality Steve Dahl is staying in cyberspace. Eschewing traditional broadcasting, Dahl announced plans Monday to turn his daily podcast in a subscription-based service. Beginning Aug. 1, downloading the podcasts will cost $9.95 per month. Dahl revealed his plans in a noontime Twitter announcement to his 13,000-plus followers.

To anyone (like myself) who thought he'd be joining the Merlin juggernaut... I guess you can say, Steve-O made us "pay".
 
I listened to Stave Dahl years ago when he was taking his boys cross country on Route 66. It was entertaining and compelling radio. I don't know that Steve has anything to say now that's worth $10.00 a month. Sorry Stever. :-\

If Steve paid me to listen I wouldn't--although there is a price I could be had.

Dahl said all he had to say on July 12, 1979. Other than watching the debut of his Channel 66 morning show in '83 (which lasted about a month), I didn't bother with him after that.

If Disco demolition night had never happened would Dahl's career in Chicago lasted more than 5 years?
