Is Steve Fox working at Renda now? Last I heard he was OM at Salem and did weather on WJGR.

Today on both WSOS and WKQL I heard a spot tagged by him. It sounds like one of those "get a bunch of prospective clients in one room and sell them all at once" deals.

But anyway, that was definitely him.

What's his position, anyone know?

I say put him on middays at Kool. The dude is a living rock n' roll encyclopedia.

good observation djtommyr. Yes if you believe this line then he is at Renda: He is no longer listed under contacts for WJGR-AM in which he was the program director for awhile. I will have to check Renda's sites to see what maybe going on. Hey I might email since I do have his email address.

I haven't talked to Steve since the holiday season, but he was hopeful to be working in January. I'll probably give him a call this weekend.

You're right about Steve & his knowledge. He's A+.....and a heck of a guy. I'm proud to have worked for him and learned a lot from him as well.

Is this the same Steve Fox that worked at WROO ?
Is he from New England ?

yep it is him...the one that was WJAX-FM, WIVY (Rockin Stero 103) WROO (back then it was WCRJ-FM), WBGB (BIG 106.5) and yes he is now at Renda. I think he would be a great mid-day jock and he has the qualifications to become a PD again since he was one at WBGB before CC sold it off and was PD (I think) at WJAX-FM. I hope he goes on air especially at KOOL. It is neede badly to have a full line up of jocks and weekend talent or otherwise the station could die and oldies will never again return to Jax.

And he used to be on ol' Top 40 Formatted WLLH 1400 Lowell and Lawrence (synchronous full power sister station) Massachusetts around 1973ish. I think his name was Al Shane, got to look that up. A Great fellow who's been in Jax since the area belonged to Spain, well, just about. [friendly ribbing/grin]
