Steve Haage Fired

What a wonderful person. Worked at WIOV for many years starting at WHUM. Lasted thru many owners. I guess Bad Bob needed another notch on the belt. Too bad for radio.

I'm sure "Bad Bob" didn't need another notch in his belt. I'm sure it was the sad state of the radio economy. That said, it doesn't make it any better when a good man like Steve loses his gig after 28 years. Citadel stock sits under a dollar, their CEO is making 13 million a year to basically run the company into the ground and the people losing their gigs are the Steve Haage's of the world. Best of luck Steve.

While Big Bad Bob has left quite a trail of destruction in his wake from all the different places where he's stopped, this probably wasn't all him. Citadel has been knocking off talent all over the place cutting it's costs as it drowns in red ink from it's ABC acquisitions. What little money it does have, it bestows on people like Sean Hannity, while the poor people get bumped off. But most likely, they told Bob how much they wanted him to cut, and then it was up to him how to slice the roast so to speak.
