Steve Harvey on V103 Chicago

V103 ( Urban A/C WVAZ Chicago ) is now airing " The Steve Harvey Morning Show, " replacing " The Tom Joyner Morning show. "

Really bad news for TJMS. V-103 was its biggest affiliate, and TJ's former home base. I think TJ was doing an extra hour from 9-10 every day just for V-103. I think WGCI's ratings took a plunge when Steve Harvey was put in the mornings, and I think moving to a syndicated show was a bad idea. Crazy Howard McGee actually had far better ratings.

I wonder if WSRB will pick up TJMS? Right now, they have a music intensive local show.

Personally I still prefer Joyner to Harvey. His show is more topical and has more of a current events focus. Still, I admit his show has declined. I don't think adding Huggy Lowdown did anything for the show.

One more thing, TJMS was on V-103 like forever, I think at least from the early 90s, big move in Chicago radio.
