Steve Harvey to Host Primetime ABC Court Show

He may not be for everyone, but when hosting a "Family Feud" episode, and learned that one family was from Welch, West Virginia (his hometown, I believe), and that they worked with a nonprofit helping folks in that area, he stopped and had a check cut for $5,000.00 to benefit said nonprofit-it was allegedly his own money. Sure, he could have found this out in pre-interviews, and had the check cut privately, but perhaps he was trying to drum up support for a part of America that needs so much help, through no fault of their own.
Saw a video where he was taking Qs from the audience on Feud. After taking a question on 'your best moment,' Steve said that a family won $20,000 and one of the family members was hysterically crying. He found out the father had been given 3-6 months to live (cancer I believe) and Steve said "I gave him $25,000 more dollars".
When Steve Harvey does good things, he means it. Now if only the Feud writers would shy away from the sexual innuendo questions and Steve staring at contestants for saying "p*nis", "mas****ate" or "ding-dong".
Not to say some of those bloopers aren't funny - they are, and less sexual too. In one of his earlier seasons, nobody answered "name something other than fruit you choose by squeezing it." Of course, they didn't want to say 'breast' and have Steve stare at them. He turned it into a hilarious comedy routine during the stopdown. Then there was that guy who thought Steve Harvey was a 'big mouth who was not afraid to use it.' He got pretty pi$$ed off. It never made it to TV but has nearly 4 million plays on Youtube.

I don't like courtroom shows anyway, but when you have Steve Harvey and Chrissy Tiegen playing judges it;s getting ridiculous.
It could be Steve Wilkos, however! Imagine him screaming at a lousy defendant "GET OUT OF MY COURTROOM!" While throwing a chair.

But he's already on TV. I actually watched an episode one afternoon and he is tolerable, and best of all no strippers fighting. Doesn't he have a little bar/law experience?
Albeit, a hologram of the late Joseph Wapner would be a better judge than half of the judges on TV. Greg Mathis can be entertaining on the other hand.

They've come up with all sorts of euphemisms in the survey results. At least on the Celebrity version, which is all I watch.

I forgot to mention Jerry Springer earlier as another ridiculous TV judge.
Well Jerry did practice law for several years, so he knows what he's doing (probably would've wound up as a sitting judge if he didn't go into broadcasting)

RadioFreeCedarCity,
I thought so. And of course, Jerry Springer was a WLWT-TV Cincinnati news anchor (and previously the mayor of Cincinnati) before he went to his talk show. I would probably try to fry my eyes out if I was in his shoes, emceeing all those stripper-fighting shows...
