Steve Harvey to Mornings at KDAY???

Rumor has it, the ink is almost dry.... Stupid Idea... Didn't work in LA or Dallas. Who in their right mind would bring him back in a format he hates?

If KDAY signed a deal to bring Steve Harvey back to Los Angeles, then nobody should feel sorry for them when their morning show implodes and they sink even further in the ratings.Steve Harvey is a tyrant. He dislikes everyone. He will immediately turn on KDAY management and refuse to do what he promised. Steve Harvey is only interested, by his own admission on the air at KKBT, in entertaining a Black audience. By Arbitron's own numbers, that's 7.7% of the total available audience. Even if you get them all, by doing so you will be alienating everyone else in L.A.Steve Harvey's show is too expensive for KDAY. They don't have a 1.0, and yet they're willing to spend a million dollars on a show that already failed in Los Angeles and Texas. And please don't forget, Steve Harvey, at his peak, had two t.v. shows on the air to help attract attention to him. One was his sitcom, the other was Big Show. Both got yanked, and his radio show began to tank.KDAY has made nothing but mistakes since coming back to L.A. Do they really want or need to make an even bigger one now?

Yes they do. And sadly for RO, they're gonna have to fork over 120 million to get rid of Harvey and KDAY and go UAC on 93.5.

Steve Harvey did not contribute to the problems at KKBT. Let's be real for a moment. Management of Radio-One Los Angeles had plenty to do with it. With Tom Joyner across the street on The Beat and Joyner's numbers declining in other cities with Steve Harvey as competitor, KDAY made a solid choice. It is alot better than Yo-Yo! And I'm sure many listeners would welcome Harvey back with open arms.So what if he is a tyrant. It really doesn't matter if he doesn't agree with anyone. His sole purpose is to present a show, deliver results. He's not there to pump sunshine into management's behind. Like all contracts if written properly, understood by both parties, then he is obligated to do nothing but what is written. Harvey is not only obligated to his flagship but other affiliates. If people weren't in place to make things smoother for him to satisfy all, then maybe you'd be a tyrant too. Not an individual station problem but a Morning Show support problem.Keep in mind, KDAY is being fixed. It is no longer Rhythmic, it is an Urban radio station. If Radio-One can't handle competition, what are they in the business for anyways? The only cowardly thing to do is buy a property you're afraid of.
