Steve Kass - Lima Peru????

I just turned on Steve Kass on WPRO. He wrapped up the hour saying he was broadcasting from Lima Peru??? LIMA PERU??? What the hell is that??? Why would someone broadcast from there? It may be the funniest thing I have ever heard. I could see Broadcasting from a major tourist Desitnation like New York, Los Angeles, London or even Orlando. But LIMA PERU???? Am I missing something here?? LOL

I think he said at ne piont he was broadcasting from the only Childrens Hospital there.
 
Think Steve said he traveled down there with a group of local pediatric surgeons from Hasbro and other hosps. who will be performing/teaching the Peruvian docs recontructive surgery techniques on deformed children.
Steve said he's down there to make a documentary about it.

Well at least that is a valid reason to be there I guess. Unless Steve decided to just make the documentery as an excuse to get a paid getaway for a week.

John, I don't know what world you live in but I don't generally
agree to make a documentary on disfigured children so I can get
a weeks paid vacation by sitting in a hospital in Lima Peru.
It's obvious you don't like Kass but really now.

Sure, but sounds like a great week to take off. How's it of interest to R.I. listeners?

How is what of interest to RI listeners??
He talked local issues all week.
You don't have to physically be in RI to stay current and talk
local issues.
