STEVE KASS TO WSAR

All Access reports Kass joins WSAR (where he got his start in talk radio 32 years ago) on October 29th 3-6PM. Paul Giammarco has started making moves.

Great move!

I think they still stream for those people who can't get the signal. Not sure though. I will go try it now.

=========

Just tried it. Yeah it works.

I was in the studio for one of Steve's first shows at WSAR way back when. I became a fan right away. Kudos to my friends at 1 Home Street!!

That it is.

OH, WELL ! ! !....So much for bringing down WSAR's aging demographics... ;D

But seriously...I actually DO like this move. It demonstrates a commitment on 1480's part to strengthen its core audience. At this point in his career and life, Kass is well beyond having that urge to "move on up" for the next opportunity as happens with those just starting out. He may just stay there a while.

Sounds to me like Kass was bored and wanted something to get him out of the house.

This move just reinforces my belief that the Karams are doing a whole lot more with their 1480/1400 than another alleged "broadcast owner" is doing with his 990/1320. ;)

Too bad the signal sucks in Providence

New 25Kw day signal looks like it will get better into more of metro Providence.

Why not hire new, innovative talk hosts, not re treads, when, I hear or heard Steve on WPRO, he sounded, tired, fatigued and bored.

He sounds 100 on the air and his callers sound 115. He sounds like a nice guy however. How old is he anyway. . .60-70?

The Callers sounded like they were all 90 years old when I worked there 25 years ago. So 115 now sounds right.

Couldn't agree more. Congrats to local radio.
