Steve Ladd Passes

A legend in Dallas "Urban" radio has passed. Steve Ladd, who was doing afternoons Memphis, died on Sunday from the effects of a brain aneurism. Steve was a friend and true pro in every sense of the word. He will be missed.
 
This is terribly sad news! I knew Steve personally. Nearly 20 years ago, I was a high school kid trying to break into the biz, and he was the one who showed me the ropes at Soul 73 KKDA. He was a real pro, and always encouraging, even though I was terrible. He would critique my airchecks, honestly and always helpfully. I owe a lot to that man. I haven't spoken to him since left there in 1989, but I am so grateful to have know "The Real Doctor" Steve Ladd. He will be greatly missed. Does anyone have any info about funeral arrangements??
