Steve Laveille gets interesting "holiday" card from Emilly Rooney

On Steve's last show before Xmas he read a card that he said he opened a card from WGBH TV and it was from Emily Rooney. She wished him a good holiday and went on to rip him for saying something negative about her show. He even had to delete the profanity that was in the card. He claimed that he didn't even know her and was completely shocked that she took any criticism of the show so personally. He was clearly miffed because he brought it up a few times, it became a running joke as the show went on. He didn't discount that it might be a fake but why seems like a strange thing to do...just for fun. Kind of an obscure venue.
 
The last time I tuned into that show the topic was "what's your favorite cookie"......I couldn't push the button fast enough!

When "Greater Boston" first went on-the-air, Monica Collins, then a TV-reporter for the Boston Herald lambasted the show. Emily read the column during a subsequent show and labeled Monica a fat loser (a la Donald Trump); yet some time later, they apparently made up because Monica sat in on the panel of "Beat the Press". She may go back to issuing fatwas when she starts doing stints on Jay Severino's show.

My wife refers to Emily as Ms. Unctuous. I watch the Friday "Beat the Press" segment for her panel, NOT her... let's just say she has a lot of her dad's charm (hah) but not the intelligence.

... and what a classy thing to do....
