Steve Malzberg On WFAN As Update Anchor

Steve Malzberg was heard doing the WFAN 20/20 sports updates starting at Midnight Saturday morning 6/9/12. Host Steve Somers introduced him to the audience by mentioning his 30 years in radio at stations such as WABC and WOR.

Malzberg was (I believe) Art Rust, Jr.'s producer on the WABC evening sports talk show in the early 1980s which evolved into Malzberg getting on air as a commentator/fill-in host on the Art Rust, Jr. show, then eventually getting into political commentary.

Good stuff, D . Thanx for the link.

On the Malzberg topic, I have to parallel his saga with that of another turmoil-magnet New Yorker who did both political talk and sports talk -- Bruce Jacobs. Jacobs is now on sports 104.5 in Albany NY, a train ride up the Hudson from NYC.

These two fellows apparently came to realize that they do their best and most enduring work in the press box, not in the voting booth, imho.

Welcome back Steve Malzberg!

@Steve (Green): Amazing that Jacobs is still on the air after that WNBA-mocking debacle a few months ago... That alone should be enough to get a host bounced from the airwaves in Albany, GA, let alone Albany, NY...
