Steve McCoy on 106.7

Steve McCoy "blathers" too much... I do not listen.

What a crappy move to put a comedian on in that timeslot... 106.7 Needs to remove "News Radio" from it's moniker and change to "Just Another Radio Show 106.7"

What's with the 106.7 signal lately...? All static and fades in & out quite a bit now, too.

I believe KYW 1060AM in Philly is a format that would succeed in Atlanta and was hoping 106.7FM would follow that format... Oh well. I'll still check in with them once in awhile to see if things improve, but only listen partially to The Kimmer for now.

I've been noticing the static, too. Especially, during the Cooper Lawrence Show. Last night around 8:55 PM, the fire alarm at the studios went off. A majority of the people got out of the building. Cooper stayed in the building. After just a few minutes, everyone that left the building were allowed to go back into the building. It's unsure on whether or not a part of the building was actually on fire. Another possibility could be that someone was crazy enough to pull the fire alarm as a prank. Who, in their right mind, would be crazy enough to pull a fire alarm as a prank in a radio studios building? This is not cool, and it's very unheard of in a radio studios building.

Are you saying the fire alarm went off at the iHeart building in Atlanta, or where Cooper Lawrence broadcasts from? I don't think she's really in Atlanta.

The iHeart building in Atlanta, aka Building of Death, is home to WGST, WWPW, WUBL, WRDA. Cumulus' studios are on Johnson Ferry Road in Sandy Springs. Cooper Lawrence is based out of NYC but does the local show for Atlanta between the baseball season. I always thought that Pete "Snake" Davis would be a good evening host.

They had that static when they were the TOC. I think its in their STL. A long hop is easily affected by rain, fog.

IIRC when 106.7 was TOC, there was an issue with the aux STL being switched on. That is when Citadel was going bankrupt. Cumulus has had several years to clean up Citadel's deferred maintenance.

It was at the Cumulus Atlanta studios off Johnson Ferry Rd. Cooper said awhile back that she moved to Atlanta. As for the fire alarm incident, So far so good, everyone is okay. I haven't heard anything else about the incident.
