O

Omnibus

Guest
Publisher Steve Mindich announced today he has completed the purchase of WRKO from Entercom.

The new call letters will be WMDH.

He plans to issue pink slips to all the current on-air staff today.

The Press Release stated that as of Monday, April 7 he will host his own talk show in the Noon to 4 PM slot. It will be called " The Mind of Mindich".

No word what will happen to Khuna, Limbaugh and Carr but Mindich said he will buy out the rest of their contract.

In the interim Mindich said he will rebroadcast the best of Jerry Williams, Gene Burns and David Brudnoy.

Mindich directed that if they wanted further information to pick up Thursday's issue of The Phoenix.

Ha ya can't fool me but actually the Phoenix still exists in Portland (reading material for when I go into $3 Dewey's or Great Lost Bear) and Prov. , or was that Worcester...

Worcester was the 1st to fold. I believe the Phoenix only publishes in Portland and Providence.
