From nwbroadcasters.com

"09/21/10 - Former KISW-FM 99.9 and KZOK-FM 102.5 Seattle icon Steve Slaton makes his debut on the All Blues program Saturday, October 2 from 6 p.m. to midnight on KPLU-FM 88.5. He will fill in periodically as a jazz and blues host. Slaton left KZOK in December 2008....."

LOL! Nope. Can't do that no more. I put my poor liver through enough hell in college. I was spending most of the night laying carpet.....

I didn't even crack open that bottle of JB until 11 last night (I have witnesses) and by that time, I was too zonked from exhaustion to make it past one on the rocks.....Yes, I'm a total wuss now when it comes to hard booze....

Did hear Mr. Slaton though. Super classy as always.....

Steve sounded great and obviously happy to be back on the air.
Nice to hear a familiar voice on the air. And how I do love "All Blues" on KPLU.
Wish they did it every night.

Does anyone know of a station that is all blues or has tried it?

In Birmingham AL, WJLD 1400 AM had a "Blues/Talk" format some years ago. Heard it online once, talk segments mixed in with blues music......I think it still has potential......

You can get the ORIGINAL "King Biscuit Time" on KFFA 1360 AM out of Helena, AR on a daily MP3 podcast you can download from their website (WARNING: The opening announcer's mic/volume level will blow up your speakers and rip your ears off. TURN IT DOWN TO "1" BEFORE PLAYING!! I am NOT kidding....)

http://www.kffa.com/

It's the longest running blues show in America. And yes, "King Biscuit Time" served as the inspiration for "King Biscuit Flower Hour"

As for the full time blooz, KMTT-HD2 is the local source. There's mega-tons of all blues channels online, one on Music Choice too. But for plain ol' old analog terrestrial radio, I'm afraid you'll have to check into KEXP or KSER from time to time during the week. I think KRIZ has a blues show, A look around the public stations may unearth more blues treasures.....
