STEVE WATERS OUT at WIWF Charleston

Steve Waters of the Wolf (and before that 95SX and Cat Country) is out effective immediately. He's been with Citadel for over a decade; blown out with no warning this week. Morning show partner JESSICA CHANDLER stays put as the call goes out for morning show T&R's.

That sucks. He's been around much longer than that. He voices many of the local commercials on Fox 24 and 36, and most of the other stations. Hopefully he will land on his feet somewhere.

Sometimes now a days it seems like just do it takes on a whole new meaning with all the changes going on in radio, TV, heck the world, things are done today seemling without a rhyme or reason. Letting people go who have the most experence and often do the best job in many cases for the sake of saving a dollar as become common place in a lot of industries in this country. The radio industry is right at the top of that list here in the last few years and it shows from not so good programing to just down right *&%# programing which is often forced on the people left to run everything the best they can with less or almost no talent for what they are asked to do in alot of cases. Steve I hope you land another soon.

Good luck, Steve!!!
