A San Diego radio legend dating back to 1983, Steve West was a tremendous air talent and the leading keeper of the flame for deep cuts of 1980s flashback alternative music. San Diego (and LA) led the nation in discovering and embracing new wave, and much of that can be credited to 91X and Steve West. Steve joined the station 1 month after its launch and stayed for 30 years, spending the last 6 years with 94.9, San Diego's second alternative station.
