Like the song says, "I Can Only Imagine" what the family is going through now. God Bless the Chapman's. And as a caller this AM to the Doug and Kim show (Salem Radio/105.9 the River) said, "His little Cinderella is sitting at the foot of the King this morning!"

My prayers are with the family...God Bless you Steven and family

In a somewhat related story, Rick Burgess of the syndicated Rick and Bubba Show had a two year son who drowned in January of this year. Rick remained strong through the family tragedy and he delivered a powerful message at his son's funeral. The message was so powerful that Jim Galipeau, morning host on WJIE-FM 88.5, actually stopped the music one morning to air portions of the message.

The following link is the transcript of Rick's message.

To Steve and his very loving family... My tears are real, but my confidence in how you and Mary Beth have kept you family focus on Christ (over the years I have known you and watched you in your talents) will get you through... You're still that same guy from Paducah I met in 1987 in that back room at GMA (along with Margaret Becker) when Scott Wesley Brown told me; "There's a couple of newbies, like yourself, needing some fellowship and new friends.. I want you to meet Steve and Margaret".. They were new Sparrow artists at the time.. Thanks to the Chapman's for their encouragment over the years.. It's time we gave that back to them... "Skipper T." / The old Way Teen Jock....

What a tragedy. I had the pleasure of seeing him in concert two months ago in Atlanta, and he talked about the love of his kids. I won't be able to listen to Cinderella without getting teary-eyed.
My prayers go out to Steven and his family.
