I was not really familiar with Steve Risen. But I got to hear him on Reelradio.com.
today I spend a little bit of money to renew my membership. Reelradio.com like radio-info and radio-locator are the three most important radio websites on the internet. support them if you can.
I love pittsburgh radio and hope that more pgh airchecks could be on the websites.
thanks

There seems to be a dearth of old WZUM airchecks online. Rather odd considering their cult status popularity. I'd like to hear that station again...

WZUM Was a Great Station, Some big names in Broadcasting got Started Their. In the 60's and Early 70's WZUM had a "thing" worked out with Pitts Carrier Current AM Station "WPGH".

I had worked with Alfred Risien at KQV back in the sixties. Is he still around? I think he had returned to Texas.

Steve lives in Texas. He is retired. This is from my KQV website... He is now living in Houston, Texas. Steve spent eight years teaching algebra, geometry, trig, and calculus, high-end physics and chemistry in Houston schools. He said "It turns out I'm rather gud att it. (But I doughn't spel all tht gud.) I'm best in physics because it uses all that other stuff." Steve is now retired.
