Stick a fork in it!

Free FM is done.

Time for something different.

They were given a year and a half and have failed. The only attention they got is negative.

Next!

Well let's see, whatever format that would be flipped to would have to be a format that is compatible with O and A,..sooooo let's see,..........ummmm, that would be,.......... NOT COUNTRY!.

Well unfortunately the whole family does not make radio companies a lot of money, why do you think radio disney is on every little dipstick, half a signal AM in every market they're in?. The money demo (perceived anyway) is men 18-49, men 25-54, and even men 18-34,.............Not a lot of country fans compared to rock etc there.

This IS very true. Unfortunately. (As my daughter sits here listening to Radio Disney, believe it or not) I realize that today's radio (especially) is nothing more than "business". It's just too bad that "perception" plays such a big role in what formats are rolled out and where. Today's country could do very well on a well programmed stick...but as long as everyone is gunning to be "Number 1" we won't see it happen, which is a shame.

NYC radio is pathetically boring these days. No real variety anymore. I'm sure most of us long for the days when you could find almost every available format on the dial...I know I do!

And replace it with what?

How about LMAing it for $9.23/month to DtotheJ, so he can have have a new outlet for his "Radio A to Z." ;D

Hey, way to go thinking outside of the box... By the way, our station is planning a "Tea Party" next weekend and everyone is invited - try not to strain your eyes reading through leaves everyone...

In a huge diverse market such as New York, one should be grateful just to reach the Top 10 in any demo or rating. Heck, just look at Jack-FM! ;D
