Stick On The Radio

Over the past couple of nights I've not had my Sirius radio so I've been stuck listening to the radio, mainly XL.
Who is this Stick guy? Why does he yell all the time? Why is he on for so LONG (3pm to 10?!?) and whats up with his War of the
Roses?! This bit couldn't be more fake if he tried haha. Maybe it's just me, but night time radio in Orlando really blows.

Welcome to RADIO 2008...with Voice Tracking it's no longer un-common to hear the same DJ on for 6-8 Hours or longer!

Stick's been on XL for a while now. His personality is really upbeat, but he's not yelling. He's projecting. I like his over-the-top style.

A 7-hour shift is long?

Hey Mo, "projecting" but not yelling? Please provide clarification and distinction. I never needed to project and I never yelled. If these guys must "project" then why are in they in this business? You either have the pipes or you don't. Too many jocks never got/get formal inflection, tone or other vocal training. Go to a school like Vanderbilt, Syracuse or Florida. These schools teach you how to use and maximize your voice and overall on air quality.

Vadar, a Top-40 personality has to be upbeat. It's like a conversation with friends. You don't want to bore people when you're telling a compelling story or hot topic.
