Stickam Bites The Dust 1-31-2013

After five year, Stickam, the audio/video streaming site which sported such radio folks like Hank and Jim, bites the dust tonight at 11:59pm.

Don't you mean "bytes the dust"? :D

No doubt their closure was due to the more popular video streaming sites like Ustream, Livestream, and most recently, YouTube.

I used Ustream, then Livestream..went to Stickam for the unusual feature of a scrolling marquee under the hosts screen as well as six viewer cams..Neat stuff..I was ther about a year I guess..wish they had given some warning..had to make a mad dash back to Livestream...always have wondered how these sites make money I know they charge corporate accounts big dollars..but seemed to me the largest bulk were kids messing around in their bedrooms with silly crap..or worse..I did enjoy Hank and Jim..as well as couple other "oldie" type shows...Hank and Jim have moved to "JUSTIN TV" I see..from searching...Any one heard of the reason they shut down...I gather it was financial..???
