Still Standing/Yes Dear question

For the most part I haven't seen any advertisment from CBS

about Still Standing moving to join it's sister show Yes Dear

on wednesday nights. I know those two are so lucky to be

going up against The Apprentice: Martha Stewart (NBC)

and The George Lopez Show (ABC) but still both are funny

shows. Are they trying to get rid of them both so they

can put in that mid season sitcom starring Julia Louis Dryefuss?

Julia Louis Dryefuss

O.K., so how many episodes of the Julia Louis Dryefuss show will air. Anybody taking any action yet. Depending on when they start showing it, I say 5 episodes, 4 if Brad Hall is involved.

How long did her previous two shows last? Did either of them even make it a full season?

I don't get why she hasn't been able to have at least marginal success since Seinfeld. Michael Richards will never been seen as anything other than Kramer again, so of course his show tanked. Jason Alexander just got stuck with two of the worst series concepts ever, and isn't really a strong enough personality to carry a series anyway. I expected more from Julia, though, since she's a funny and multi-talented actress who should be able to carry a show.

I agree with the fact Jason's shows were weak concepts but I disagree that he isn't strong enough to carry a show. The man is funny. I enjoyed "Listen Up" but outside of the son no one on the show, including Theo from "Cosby" (whatever his name is for real) was any good.

I think it is ironic that since before the days of "The Nanny" CBS has been trying to establish some sort of a beachhead on Wednesdays and had this with "King of Queens." While no run away hit, it was respectable on Wednesdays.

I see them moving "King of Queens" back to Mondays as compensation for not giving "King of Queens" the diamond slot of Monday's at 8pm (9pm EST/PST).

I always considered "Two and a Half Men" to be a timeslot hit. It will be interesting to see how much it depended on "Everybody Loves Raymond."

I personally have always found Two and a Half Men to be just as funny, if not funnier than "Raymond" was every week.

However, I feel King of Queens is also a great show, and given the time and duty they have given to CBS, I would have given them Monday night at 9.

Listen Up was an awful idea and an awful show. The idea of basing a sitcom around the life of someone who has their own TV show and who no one who doesn't regularly watch said show would care about was nuts. Why not just get a camera and follow the real Kornheiser around for a reality show?

Please.... don't give anyone any ideas. ;-)

I agree that "Listen Up" was a bad show, but I still think Jason Alexander was good in it.

"Two and A Half Man," to me lacks chemistry. Jon Cryer and Charlie Sheen are excellent actors, (Charlie Sheen is under rated for doing comedy)but no one on the show seems to have chemistry with each other.

This was most obvious when Heather Locklear guest starred. From the second she walked in both Heather and Charlie and Heather and Jon had a comic chemistry that made that a good episode. And that kid who plays the son. It feels like neither the Cryer or Sheen character care a hoot about him

I guess I look more for all around casts.<P ID="signature">______________

CBS Monday's

From when I can remember CBS Monday Night has been mostly other then on Wednesday Nights where they have two comedy shows. CBS Monday's has always done well and I do still think it will do well even without Raymond. Now I am not sure if the new shows will be good or not but we can believe they will. Also that show Listen Up, it was a good show I kind of liked it. To bad they got rid of that show. Hopefully Theo from The Cosby Show will get another comedy show.

Malcolm Jamal-Warner

Personally I'd like to see Malcolm Jamal-Warner (aka Theo) take on another more dramatic part. . . He was great in "Jeremiah" w/ Luke Perry, which was a very underrated show, mostly because no one took either of them too seriously at the time.
