Stock market predictions when Howie Carr leaves

Looking at the Entercom stock prices over the last few years it makes me wonder what will happen when Howie Carr leaves the station.

The beginning of 2008 the stock was in the $20 per share range. By the end of 2008 it was down around $0.50 ( 50 cents) per share while a few months ago it was bouncing around $7 to $9 per share.

Of course, I was invested in Citadel Broadcasting which went bankrupt. I keep those stock certificates around in case I runn out of toilet paper.

Anyway, crystal ball projections about Entercom stock? whadda ya all think?

most of the reason the stock price went up was the Fields family bought stock on the open market to get the stock price back up over a dollar so it wouldn't get de-listed from the NYSE. If the stock's bid price stays under a dollar for 30 consequitive days it triggers a de-listing letter and the company has to remedy the problem or get kicked of the NY Exchange.

As recently as a week ago an analyst raised his revenue projections for ETM, so that would give people a reason to buy IMHO. The stock price has gone up about 27 cents since that report came out, it was at 7.73 , now 8.08

Radio One just got a de-listing letter a couple of weeks ago btw.

Howie's contract has about 2 yrs left...

July of 07--Howie announced that he would be jumping to WTKK
Shortly thereafter Entercom said oh no you don't.

His "last show" was 9/19/07, IIRC (a few days earlier he granted an interview to Ch 4
talking about how glad he was to be going to WTKK and mornings). His debut was to be on 10/1

Various legal proceedings went against him. By mid Nov (and a bunch of Todd Feinburg
fill ins) it was announced he would be returning and did so around Nov 16. Before then,
Entercom put a "Howie Carr Sock Puppet" with a soundboard up at the WRKO site
(as in the Mark Levin sound board, click mouse on spots and hear bits of him talking).
Message: Howie is our puppet.

>>(11/16/07) Boston radio host Howie Carr plans to return to his familiar seat behind the WRKO microphone today...Carr’s move back to his old afternoon-drive show on WRKO (680) comes four months after he dropped a bombshell and launched a legal battle to jump ship to WTKK (96.9).
