STOCKTON/MODESTO Success Stories

Thinking about all of the names in these threads, I haven't kept up with the names as much as I would like. After reading the KSTN threads, I was thinking about what a launch pad that the market has been over the years. Who in your mind would be one of the biggest success stories from this area as far as where they went from here. I know we have a LOT of local legends, so it would be kind of cool to find out where the "stars" went.

Besides IMUS, who wants to take a crack at it?

First, "success" needs to be defined. Major market work and national syndication? One's name a household word? Fat paycheck?

We'll go from there.

I don't know if he got his start there, but KEN MINYARD worked at KJOY-1280 Stockton from about 1958-63. And his son, Rick worked at KFIV-1360 Modesto from 1995 until about 1999.
