Have any of you heard some of the talent and music on CHR stations in the surrounding areas,,,Besides that, Wnou has the Taletned DJ Orion, and mixshows every weeknight from 8 pm, as well as the weekend Techno, and hip Hop mix shows. Move over to Illinois or Ohio, if you want to hear a bad CHR....Your lucky to even get DJs without a Hillbilly accent in those states,,,, And try the CHR stations in the Deep South... WNOU is a decent station, and Nigel and Dylan are funny....I dont listen in the mornings, so I cant comment. I do like 92.7 KISS FM in Carbondale Illinois though, but thats about it.

As for NOU, I would rather listen to a hick with an accent than a turd who pukes on the mic. Radio Now sounds like the dj's from KBBL on the Simpsons. By the way, why are we talking about weekend mix shows? I feel like Allen Iverson right now, "What are we talking about...Practice?"

Besides we STARTED the previous thread about the morning show. Which you said you didn't listen to...so why are you posting again? We ALL agree that Nigel and Dylan are good. It's the MESS in the morning that sucks. I think it should be "all music" in the morning, that works in several cities.

I wouldn't mind having a choice where you have a music-intensive morning show. No one does it anymore, it's all shock radio in the morning hours, or lame attempts at trying to be Bob & Tom or Mancow-style of funny. I don't favor automation either (although yes, I've heard a couple of jocks over the years that actually made me yearn for it), but sometimes the babble gets to be too much.

How about an energetic morning personality who plays music, covers the morning weather and traffic, with news and news headlines a couple of times an hour? A cluster could share a news person and you don't have 3 people on the payroll getting paid to out-joke each other on the air for 4 hours each morning.

I never understood why Emmis couldnt manage to space the music out on Hank and Radio Now and let Wank and O'Brien do to morning shows at once. It ain't like Emmis has Jo Ann Klooz to do traffic for the FM's in the MOrning and could have an IBC news anchor do news on Radio Now and Hank. Wank and O'Brien were the best morning show Radio Now has had in my opinon
